Existing Groomers: Granted 6 months to complete the course, with 12 weeks of theory and then the practical assessment can be scheduled over the remaining 3 months.
This course includes the Career Start component which makes up your practical requirements and 3 months online study.
While the Career Start will get you to a level that you can perform a basic pet groom, the Certificate III in Pet Grooming will give you a much broader range of skills and knowledge of the industry, breeds, standards, safety, customer service, parasite identification and much more.

There are no previous eligibility requirements for the Certificate III in Pet Grooming, unless you wish to complete it in the shorter 6-month time frame. If you do want to complete the course within six months we recommend you have at least 12 months salon experience.
